VCERT Quality Certification Private Limited, hereinafter referred to as VCERT, was incorporated on 21/06/2022, to provide accredited organic certification. VCERT is accredited as per ISO/IEC 17065:2012 requirements for certification bodies by NABCB (National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies). VCERT also applied for accreditation complying with the National Program for Organic Production (NPOP) of India.
VCERT Quality Certification Private Limited, hereinafter referred to as VCERT, was incorporated on 21/06/2022 to provide accredited organic certification complying with ISO/IEC 17065:2012 requirements as well as the National Program for Organic Production (NPOP) of India. VCERT offers its inspection and certification services in the sectors of organic farming, handling, processing, trading, and other related fields. VCERT is a distinct and independent legal entity.
Organic certification exists to provide consumers with assurance that claims made by sellers of organic products have met recognized standards. We certify farms, small grower groups, wild collections, input manufacturers (organic fertilizers and pesticides), processors, and traders, ensuring organic integrity from the production to the final consumer. Certified Organic verifies that products were produced under conditions required by organic standards.
ISO/IEC-17065 compliant certification requires safeguards to ensure that there is no possibility of influence or conflict of interest in the certification process. The ISO/IEC-17065 standard is intended to ensure that certification bodies operate third-party certification systems in a consistent and reliable manner, thereby facilitating their acceptance on a national and international basis to enhance international trade.

Accreditation
Collaboration
VCERT is offering certification for cosmetic products in collaboration with EcoControl, Germany, as per Natrue standards. EcoControl is an inspection and certification body for ecological products and quality assurance systems in the non-food sector. EcoControl has experience in these areas since 2001. Eco Control has collaborated only with VCERT in India to offer certification and approval for cosmetic products. VCERT conducts inspections on behalf of Eco Control, and the compliance certificate will be issued by Eco Control. The scope of certification includes cosmetic products, raw materials, and formulations. Operators who want to market their cosmetic products as organically certified should comply with the requirements of the Natrue standards. NATRUE is the strictest standard, since minimum proportions of natural raw materials for natural cosmetics have to be proven in the certified products.
Adopt ISO/IEC 17065:2012, National Program for Organic Production (NPOP) of India and any
other schemes for organic certification elsewhere with their updated versions as the guiding system for all activities, procedures and system of documentation in pursuance to
international norms.
Maintain independence, impartiality, confidentiality, non-discrimination and integrity in its
operations, and continuously improving management system by analyzing the feedback
received from all sources and the customers.
Ensure to provide qualitative or quantitative certification of products, services and systems and
grant certification only if there is sufficient evidence of conformity with the standard.
Ensure to provide access and information to all stakeholders about VCERT’s activities such as evaluation and certification process.
Ensure that all personnel are adequately qualified and familiarized with the management
system and procedures and continuous training will be given to all personnel to provide
services of the highest order and reliability in certification services to the customers.
a. The non-discrimination is administered and maintained without any reference to the race, social and economic background, religious affiliation, gender, age, variable income groups or marital status, size of client, membership of any association or group and number of certificates already issued to the applicant. The policies and procedures set by VCERT or laid by the standards or enforced by the accreditation body are same for all the operators and administered to the same extent to safeguard the non-discrimination.
b. VCERT accepts all production, processing or handling applications that fall within its area(s) of accreditation and certify all qualified applicants, to the extent of its administrative capacity to do so without regard to size or membership in any association or group.
c. VCERT may decline the application in case if the applicant is participating in some illegal activities, or in event of history of repeated non-compliances, or suspension or denial of certification from other certification body or commercial reasons like outstanding dues. VCERT shall not re-certify same activity for production, processing and trading units already certified by another Certification Body under NPOP within the validity period of the certificate .
d. VCERT ensures that there shall not be undue financial or other conditions which will discriminate any client and access shall not be conditional upon the size of the supplier. It is also ensured that pplication shall be open to all operators regardless of commercial considerations.
e. VCERT will not exclude any client from the participation in or deny the benefits of any the inspection and certification program due to discrimination out of race, colour, nationality, gender, religious beliefs, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status.
f. VCERT shall confine its activities to those matters such as evaluation, review, certification and
decision specific to the scope of certification.
g. VCERT provides a brand neutral service to all applicants whose activities fall within the scope of
VCERT’s operations and without any discrimination or conditions. VCERT grants its certificates solely on the basis of the compliance achieved by the clients to the requirements of the specified
standards and normative documents. VCERT confines itself in its activities to those matters
specifically related to the scope of certification.

VCERT is fully self-supported by the revenues generated through the provision of its services. All VCERT services are rendered on the basis of its tariff that is available on the public domain. VCERT has sufficient financial reserves to continue providing its services independently, despite fluctuations in the market. VCERT has obtained the necessary insurance cover to take care of liabilities if any arising from its operations.
