Inspection and Certification Department
VCERT is accredited as per ISO/IEC 17065:2012 requirements for certification bodies by NABCB (National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies). Certification department of VCERT provides its certification services against the National Program for Organic Production (NPOP), USDA NOP, Canadian Organic Regime (COR) and EU Regulation 848/2018. VCERT also intends to render inspection and certification services against various international and private standards. VCERT applied for accreditation complying with the National Program for Organic Production (NPOP) of India, USDA NOP, EU compliance 848/2018 and COR .

- Adopt ISO/IEC 17065:2012, National Program for Organic Production (NPOP) of India, USDA NOP, COR, EU Regulation 848/2018 and any other schemes for organic certification elsewhere with their updated versions as the guiding system for all activities, procedures and system of documentation in pursuance to international norms.
- Maintain independence, impartiality, confidentiality, non-discrimination and integrity in its operations, and continuously improving management system by analyzing the feedback received from all sources and the customers.
- Ensure to provide qualitative or quantitative certification of products, services and systems and grant certification only if there is sufficient evidence of conformity with the standard.
- Ensure to provide access and information to all stakeholders about VCERT’s activities such as evaluation and certification process.
Here's the step by step process mentioned below..
- Operator’s enquiry for certification
- VCERT send blank application form, standard copy and organic management/system plan.
- Received filled application
- Review of the application
- Prepare the quotation
- Send to operator along with certification agreement.
- Operator has to pay 75% of the quotation.
- VCERT plan the inspection at Client’s facility once VCERT gets 75% of the quotation.
- Submit the inspection report to the certification department with the findings and any NCs.
- Prepare final invoice and send to client.
- Review of the report.
- Certification decision will be taken by the certification committee.
- Receipt of the balance invoice amount.
- Send certificate to client. Validity of the certificate will be one year.
